Live Performance with Desi Valentine!

Part of the Upfront Summit event Sidle Entertainment was involved in wanted to incorporate live drums into the performance by London Native and current LA resident singer, Desi Valentine. Upon the producer’s decision to involve the drumline in the performance, we got to work arranging parts to accompany his catchy song, “I’m Comin’ Up.” Using notation software we were able to make a first draft with real and accurate sounds and mix it with a recording of Desi’s song so that the producer of the event could review and give feedback. His feedback was simply “You guys are the best!”

The day before the event we rehearsed and sound checked the tune live with Desi singing and he immediately told us how much energy it gave him to hear us playing along with his track. The feeling for us performing with such a talented singer was mutual. You can currently see a glimpse of that rehearsal on Desi Valentine’s Facebook page.

This was another fun and unique application of involving a professional live drumline into an event that creating an exciting performance for the audience and definitely us performers too!
