Probably one of the most amazing performing experiences we have had is getting to be a part of the 2011 NBA All Star Game hosted at the Staples Center by the LA Clippers. ClipPercussion was made the official drumline of the weekend.

The first day when we were receiving our credentials the representative for the weekends events told us we are giving you all access to everything because, "We don’t know exactly where we are going to utilize you guys."

We were prepared for anything and ended up being a part of almost everything.  We performed after Bruno Mars during the games televised Red Carpet Event, in the convention center for fans walking around the Fan Zone, multiple times we played in the streets of LA Live area for the crowds of fans experiencing the weekend long event, and during a break in the D-League All Star Game, where we got to meet and pose with one of the most famous rudimental drummers (at least in cinema) Nick Cannon.

For the members of the group the weekend was unforgettable.  We were performing so often for an energized and excited crowd that people began to recognize us and ask where we were going to play next.  The whole thing was capped off with getting to watch hometown hero Blake Griffin win the Dunk Contest by jumping over a car.
